AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron men's and women's track and field program, under the leadership of head coach Dennis Mitchell, has announced the addition of seven student-athletes joining the Zips' squad for the 2017-18 campaign.
Donning the Akron uniform next season will be Kayla Barreca (Warren, Ohio/Newton Falls), Andre Bollam-Godbatt (Brunswick, Ohio/Brunswick), Mackenna Curtis-Collins (Mansfield, Ohio/Lexington), Leah Recker (Findlay, Ohio/Liberty Benton), Lindsey Scarton (Berea, Ohio/Berea-Midpark), Whitney Wendling (Lexington, Ohio/Lexington) and Carolyn Wilder (Medina, Ohio/Medina), who have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Zips' program for the 2017-18 campaign.
