AKRON, Ohio – On Saturday, January 23, the 2016 senior class will compete in their final regular season home meet at the Ocasek Natatorium as the Akron swimming and diving team will go head-to-head against Mid-American Conference opponent Eastern Michigan on senior night.
The meet will have the predicted top two teams in the MAC preseason coaches' poll squaring off. The Zips were selected to be the top team in the MAC while the Eagles were chosen to finish in second place.
In last year's regular season head-to-head matchup against Eastern Michigan, the Zips dropped the meet 223-77 but in the MAC championship Akron found themselves atop the podium with 650 points to the Eagles 555 points for second place.
