RENO, Nev.- The No. 16 Akron Rifle shot toe-to-toe with No. 12 Nevada, but would fall to the Wolfpack 4,647-to-4,623 this past weekend.

Because of a flight delay, the match originally scheduled for Saturday was shot over two days.

In the smallbore competition, Nevada dominated the scoreboard taking the top two slots. Junior Julia Hatch (Northfield, Vt.) slid into third place recording a shot of 582, while freshman Cierra Terrizzi (Dallastown, Pa.), placed fourth with a score of 575.

"Despite some challenging conditions involving weather, missed flights, rescheduled firing times, the team never gave up and clawed and fought for every single point," said head coach Newt Engle.
