AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron women's basketball team honored its 2016-17 campaign on Friday, May 5, as head coach Jodi Kest handed out awards to five student-athletes.
Senior Hannah Plybon (Orrville, Ohio) earned All-MAC recognition as she was tabbed to the league's honorable mention squad.
The Zips finished the 2016-17 campaign rated Nos. 3, 4 and 9 in the Akron single-season record book in three pointers attempted (681), triples made (206) and games played (30), while also registering the largest margin of victory in a conference road game with an 84-55 triumph at Northern Illinois on Jan.
