Silver Lake, Ohio – The Akron women's golf team recorded their second victory of the season, winning the Silver Lake Shoot Out on Monday evening. The Zips fired back-to-back 307 (+19) rounds for a 614 (+38) tournament total and 10-stroke victory over runner-up Western Michigan at Silver Lake Country Club.
After 36-holes of play there was a three-way stalemate for medalist honors, which required a playoff, as Julia Champion (WMU), Jasmine Chee (WMU), and sophomore Makayla Dull (Fremont, Ohio) all recorded 150 (+6) two-round totals.
