It was a tough year for Duke fans in terms of the legendary rivalry with North Carolina.
The Blue Devils had a chance to avenge a loss from February, with this game coming on its own court. Unfortunately for Duke, North Carolina was able to suppress a late charge and emerge with a 84-79 victory.
The final score was not necessarily indicative of how the game went, as the Tar Heels led by nine points at halftime and held that much of a lead deep into the final quarter.
