Texas resumes play today after yesterday’s off day, and will be going up against the Nationals of Washington and lefty starter MacKenzie Gore. Gore was the #3 overall pick in the MLB Draft in 2017, went to Washington in the Juan Soto trade, and is in his second full season as a starter in the big leagues. The Rangers have Evan Carter sitting against the lefty, as well as Ezequiel Duran, who seems to have dropped to end of the bench status.
