The Oakland Athletics announced Wednesday that that they have optioned struggling first baseman Ryan Noda to Triple A Las Vegas. The move opens the door for the return of J.D. Davis who is currently on a rehab assignment.

Noda appeared in 128 games and posted a 123 wRC+ for the Athletics in his debut season, but he has been a severe funk to start the 2024 campaign. Noda is currently in an 0-for-28 funk and is hitting just .
