On Wednesday, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish signed Australian punter James Rendell as part of its incoming 2024 recruiting class.

Very interesting development here, #NotreDame going international to find a new punter after Bryce McFerson left South Bend.

According to Irish Sports Daily’s Matt Freeman, Rendell comes to Notre Dame as a graduate transfer — but the exact number of years of eligibility that he will have during his time in South Bend is still to be determined by the NCAA.
