According to a report from ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel, the Mets will be calling up Christian Scott to make his major league debut on Saturday in Tampa Bay. The game, which is scheduled to be a Luis Severino start, is an evening game broadcast on FOX.

Scott, Amazin’ Avenue’s #5 prospect in our pre-season list, has been looking dominant for Triple-A Syracuse thus far this season. In 25.1 innings under his belt thus far, Scott has put up a 3.20 ERA with 36 strikeouts to only six walks. The only real blemish on Scott’s record this season is the seven home runs in just six starts thus far.
