A second kicker has joined the depth chart for the New England Patriots.

The organization agreed to terms with veteran free agent Joey Slye on Thursday, as first reported by ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

Slye, 28, stands 78 games into a career that began as an undrafted rookie in 2018. The Virginia Tech product has made stops with the New York Giants, Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, Washington Commanders and signed with Jacksonville Jaguars in March.

He was released earlier in the week after Jacksonville’s selection of Arkansas’ Cam Little in the sixth round the NFL draft.
