Florida State offers Jay’viar Suggs

The Florida State Seminoles football program has been quieter than expected during this transfer portal window, but Mike Norvell’s staff offered Grand Valley State defensive tackle Jay’viar Suggs late Sunday evening.

Suggs, who hails from Flint, Michigan, became a starter for GVSU in 2023 notched 21 tackles (7.5 TFL), 5 sacks, 4 pass deflections, and a forced fumble, leading to second-team all-conference honors.

Since entering the portal, Suggs has been offered by the Arkansas Razorbacks, Indiana Hoosiers, Iowa Hawkeyes, Kansas State Wildcats, Kentucky Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, Miami Hurricanes, Michigan State Spartans, Minnesota Golden Gophers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Purdue Boilermakers, TCU Horned Frogs, Wisconsin Badgers, and many more.
