Michael Irvin Won't Be Charged After Criminal Police Investigation in Texas

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin will not face criminal charges after Texas police closed an investigation into an unspecified "allegation" made against him, the Dallas Morning News' Michael Gehlken reported.

A spokesperson for the police department in Allen, Texas, told Gehlken the investigation closed "weeks ago."

The case was first reported by NBC Sports' Mike Florio in January.

At the time, the police confirmed only that there was an "allegation" and that the investigation was "in its very early stages," according to Florio.

Irvin's lawyer Levi McCathern told Florio in January that there was "absolutely no truth" to the allegation and that Irvin "didn't do anything wrong or inappropriate.
