Raiders edge success predicated on Malcolm Koonce, Tyree Wilson

I don’t believe I’m going out on a limb when I say Maxx Crosby is the face of the Las Vegas Raiders franchise. Head coach Antonio Pierce has said repeatedly he wants his football team to match the “Maxx Crosby energy”.

And for good reason.

A relentless non-stop pass rusher, Crosby sets the tone for the Silver & Black. The 26-year-old edge rush is a phenomenal talent since arriving as a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft producing 52 sacks thus far — 14.5 in 2023. In Crosby’s five seasons in the league, there was only one year where he didn’t lead the team in sacks: The 2021 campaign that saw Yannick Ngakoue pace the team with 10 while Crosby was second with eight.
