It wasn’t until his third season with the Texas Rangers that big Jon Gray returned to where his career began in Denver, Colorado. The last time the Rangers were in LoDo during the 2022 season, Gray was on the injured list. Two seasons later and now a World Series Champion, the former third-overall pick took the mound in a different uniform for the first time in the stadium he used to call home.
“It is so strange,” Gray noted. “When you get out there, you start warming up and you hear all the same ballpark sounds.
