JuCo All-American joins Wichita State’s spring recruiting class

JuCo All-American Ricky Torres announced that he will be coming to Wichita State for the 2018-19 season on Wednesday morning.

Torres chose Wichita State over Auburn, Virginia Tech, and American Athletic Conference schools SMU and South Florida.

Torres will be a junior this fall with two seasons of eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot-3 point guard from Missouri State-West Plains averaged 17.2 points per game with a 49.9 field goal and 43.3 three-point percentage. He also averaged 4.7 rebounds per game.

Torres has an unselfish style of play averaging 8.1 assists per game. He set his school’s single-game (16), season (268) and career (427) assist records.
