WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State is Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook's preseason favorite to win the American Athletic Conference.
The Shockers are slotted No. 7 nationally in the publication's preseason top-25 poll, and sophomore Landry Shamet (a preseason first team all-conference choice) is listed as a fourth-team preseason All-American.
WSU has been a trendy pick among the preseason college basketball annuals. Earlier this month, Lindy's ranked the Shockers at No. 3. Two others, Athlon (No. 9) and Street & Smith's (No. 7) also have WSU listed among their top-10 teams.
The Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Polls are due out in late October.
