WVU women's basketball continues ascent in latest AP Top 25 poll

After making their season debut in the AP Women's Basketball Top 25 poll last week, the West Virginia Mountaineers have continued their climb in the poll.

The Mountaineers entered the rankings last week at No. 23 overall following a major upset over Duke that had the college basketball world abuzz, and after last week's Thursday morning win over Appalachian State, West Virginia has jumped up two more spots in the poll to land at No, 21 this week.

WVU is still one of five Big 12 programs to find themselves in the rankings, and is no longer the lowest-ranked among Big 12 teams in the poll, as they jumped past Oklahoma State, who fell from No.
