Tied 1-1 after 45 minutes of play, junior midfielder Alli Magaletta netted the game-winner in the 50th minute, connecting on a Mountaineer corner kick near the right post. After the ball was put into play, Magaletta maintained composure following a fruitless first touch before slotting the ball toward the lower right pocket.
Junior forward Michaela Abam extended the Mountaineers’ advantage just two minutes later, connecting on a running shot near WVU’s bench nearly 36-yards out.
Sophomore forward Hannah Abraham put the score at 4-1 in the 70th minute. Sophomore forward Grace Cutler jump-started the scoring play, sending the ball to junior midfielder Carla Portillo, who quickly sent it wide to Abraham.
