McNeil Collects a Win to Conclude Raleigh Relays

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Junior Shamoya McNeil, of the West Virginia University track and field team, claimed the women's triple jump title on Saturday, to conclude competition at the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina.

In addition to McNeil's win, the Mountaineers added five top-seven finishes on Saturday. West Virginia collected a pair of victories throughout the two-day Raleigh Relays with WVU’s first win on Friday from sophomore Danique Bryan.

McNeil, a Portland, Jamaica, native, won the triple jump with an outdoor career-best mark of 12.80 meters, winning by .20 meters. McNeil shed .02 seconds off of her previous best set at this year’s 49er Classic.
