MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - After leading the West Virginia University baseball team to a series win at No. 10 Baylor and extending his hitting streak to a career-best 10 games, West Virginia University baseball sophomore third baseman Cole Austin has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments
Austin led the team with a .571 batting average and eight hits in three games at Baylor. He went 3 for 5 on Friday night and 4 for 5 while driving in the game-winning run in the ninth inning on Saturday afternoon. His three hits on Friday tied a season high, while he eclipsed it the following day with a career-high-tying four hits.
