WATFORD -- David Moyes said he was disappointed by his new players after his first game in charge of West Ham United ended in a 2-0 defeat at Watford.
Goals in each half from Will Hughes and Richarlison were enough to earn victory for Marco Silva's team.
And although Watford keeper Heurelho Gomes made a number of saves, particularly from Marko Arnautovic and Cheikhou Kouyate, the home side missed a number of other chances and were good value for victory.
West Ham stayed 18th, in the relegation zone, following a loss in which Moyes admitted "the better team won.
