Wizards at Hawks final score: Westbrook’s historic triple-double not enough in 125-124 loss

The Washington Wizards lost 125-124 to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night, but at least Russell Westbrook made history to become the NBA’s all-time leader in triple-doubles!

Before this game, Westbrook had 181 career triple-doubles, tied with Oscar Robertson for the most in NBA history. And really, that was what I was looking for tonight. After the first half, Westbrook was on track for it, scoring 12 points, dishing 9 assists and grabbing 5 rebounds. Washington also had a 63-62 lead at halftime.

The third quarter however was generally a Hawks affair as Trae Young got hot, scoring 16 of his 36 points in that period.
