Washington Wizards show love to WNBA Champion Washington Mystics

The city of Washington, DC has added two championship trophies to its case in the last two years. The Washington Capitals brought home the Stanley Cup in 2018. Now, the Washington Mystics are WNBA Champions after last night’s 89-78 win over the Connecticut Sun.

The Washington Wizards are the odd Leonsis-owned team out here. They’re the only ones without a recently won championship trophy. However, that didn’t stop them from showing love. Throughout the playoffs, Wizards players have been seen at Mystics games, cheering on one of the city’s best sports teams as they made their way through the Las Vegas Aces and the Sun on their way to the franchise’s first-ever WNBA Championship.
