On Sunday, the Washington Wizards announced that they retained Garrison Mathews as a two-way player.
In the statement, General Manager Tommy Sheppard said the following:
“Garrison showed in flashes last season that he can contribute with his shooting range and hustle. Maintaining his development within our system as a two-way player is the best way for him to continue his improvement and we look forward to having him back.”
In the 2019-20 season, Mathews averaged 5.4 points per game in 18 appearances while also making over 41 percent of his three pointers.
