PULLMAN, Wash. (Jan. 10, 2020) – Washington State women's swimming competed against eighth-ranked USC, dropping a 155-102 decision at Gibb Pool Friday.
Sophomore led the way for the Cougars with an impressive win the 200 freestyle, finishing over three seconds ahead of USC's second-place finisher for her third individual win this season. Fountaine also finished three-tenths of a second behind USC in the 100 freestyle.
Junior notched a season-best in the 1,000 freestyle, finishing in second place while finished second in the 100 backstroke, touched the wall second in the 100 and 200 breast, was second in the 200 butterfly, was second in the 200 back, Michee Van Rooyen was five-tenths of second behind the Trojans in the 500 free for a second place finish.
