The Redskins have signed running back Kenny Hilliard, a 2015 seventh-round pick for the Texans that has spent most of the past two seasons on Houston's practice squad.

The Washington Redskins on Monday announced the signing of free agent running back Kenny Hilliard.

In a corresponding move, the team waived running back Keith Marshall, designated as injured.

Hilliard, 25, entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick for the Houston Texans in the 2015 NFL Draft.

The 5-foot-11, 226 pounder has never recorded regular season action, but spent the entire 2015 season and Weeks 11-17 of the 2016 season on Houston’s practice squad.
