Their health has declined as key players like Rob Kelley, Jordan Reed, and Josh Norman have been forced to miss time with various maladies. Even their kicker, Dustin Hopkins, suffered an injury and he is now out for the season.
On Sunday, it appeared that they had lost another key member of their defense. Late in their victory over the 49ers, rookie Jonathan Allen went down with a foot injury and was immediately declared out.
