There are two very specific sects of fans in any fanbase. For one faction, there’s always a brief honeymoon period after a win; where no ill can be spoken of the team. They are perfect in every way.
For the other faction, anything less than imperfection is a disappointment. Squandered opportunity. Something that will inevitably come back to bite the team in the future, and sooner rather than later.
On Sunday, the aftermath of the Washington Redskins win versus the Packers was a perfect case study. The blind Super Bowl aspirations are back again for the honeymooners.
