Redskins establish trade deadline for No. 2 pick

The Washington Redskins have established a deadline for teams looking to acquire the second overall pick.

“The first round to us, if it doesn’t happen before it starts, we’re not going to push it,” Redskins coach Ron Rivera told The Washington Times. “That’s the truth of the matter.”

Two weeks ago, Rivera indicated to Sports Illustrated that Washington would have a cutoff time for potential trades when they’re on the clock, but didn’t know when exactly that would be. On Wednesday, Rivera revealed a plan has been finalized: The time will depend on the round.
