Remember when the Washington Redskins traded a rising star defensive back to the Chiefs, receiving questionable compensation in return?

Earlier today, the Kansas City Chiefs jettisoned Marcus Peters, who’s caught 19 interceptions since entering the league in 2015, to the Los Angeles Rams. Peters will head home, to the Los Angeles area, where he grew up, and the Kansas City Chiefs will presumably get a package of draft picks in exchange for their best defensive player.
The move, like the Washington Redskins’ trade of Kendall Fuller, was met with swift criticism from Chiefs fans, and rightfully so.
