The new league year and free agency began just a few short days ago, but already a tremendous amount of action - including the Redskins bolstering depth across the roster - has taken place. What free agency has made clear to me so far is that Ron Rivera and Kyle Smith believe that reasonably-priced vets should be used to elevate the floor of the team’s performance. I suspect the next phase is using the draft to take the best players available to raise its ceiling. This draft is executed under that philosophy.
