Drive Of The Game: Davis Reaches Milestone With Touchdown Drive

Related Topics: Touchdown, Vernon Davis

This week's Redskins Drive of the Game, presented by Ford, was a nine-play, 77-yard drive capped by a Vernon Davis touchdown that recorded some history in the process.

The Redskins offense didn’t have much success against the Chargers in their 30-13 loss on Sunday in Los Angeles, but their most effective drive in the second quarter scored them a touchdown, made some history along the way and got the team out of its early funk.

Specifically that came on a 23-yard touchdown pass to tight Vernon Davis from quarterback Kirk Cousins, who nicely eluded the Chargers’ rush, began running up the middle of the pocket and throw towards the right side of the end zone mid-step finding Davis in between defenders for an easy score, cutting the Chargers lead to just seven points.
