While Smith wasn’t having a great season, the veteran starter had been mostly solid and mistake-free during the team’s campaign. Now, he will miss the rest of the season after suffering a brutal leg injury that left his tibia and fibula broken.
In Smith’s stead, Colt McCoy will step into the starting lineup. McCoy is a more than capable backup, and he will have a chance to lead the team to victories.
