Halftime Quick Hitters: Redskins Lead Jaguars 21-7 After Injury-Plagued First Half

Two of last season's stragglers, the Jaguars and the Redskins both met in week two hoping to avoid an 0-2 start. Neither team looked great in week one, but only the Jaguars continued that malaise in week two as the Redskins jumped out to an impressive early lead.

Injuries Hit Hard

Robert Griffin III and DeSean Jackson both headed to the locker room in the first quarter, and it became immediately clear that Griffin would not return. After rolling right out of the pocket, Griffin went down awkwardly on his ankle and looked to be in severe pain.

Kirk Cousins Rolls With The Punches

Kirk Cousins came in for RGIII and didn't miss a beat. Cousins completed his first 14 of his first 17 passes, orchestrating three touchdown drives in his first four offensive possessions.

Time For Bortles?

Chad Henne padded his stats with a late 63-yard TD bomb to Marcedes Lewis, but for the better part of two quarter, he looked absolutely brutal out there. With Blake Bortles waiting in the wings, Henne can't afford to be this bad for long.

Hurns? Never Heard Of Him

After a 110-yard, two touchdown performance in week one, Allen Hurns didn't catch a single pass in the first half against Washington. He was targeted twice, but couldn't make an impact.
