4 Wide Receivers The Redskins Could Sign To Replace DeSean Jackson

DeSean Jackson is a gamebreaker unlike anyoen else in the NFL, but with a hamstring injury sidelining him for the forseeable future (and hopefully not longer - you know how those hamstring injuries tend to linger), the Washington Redskins could use some relief at the receiver position. Here are four guys they could sign to help out:

4) Nick Toon

Toon is one of several players that worked out for the Cowboys this week as they tried to find a replacement for Dez Bryant, but he could fill-in for Jackson in Washington. He's a former fourth round pick from Wisconsin, but did have an ankle injury that contributed to his release from the Saints in the preseason.

3) Randy Moss

Moss still has the itch to play, and while he is 38 years old, he worked out with the Saints' Brandin Cooks, who believes Moss can still compete at a high level. Washington needs a big receiver and a red zone threat, a role in which Moss can still thrive in. It would probably cause a bit of a media circus, but the Redskins are always a media circus. Don't put this one past Dan Snyder.

2) Reggie Wayne

Had Wayne decided that playing for the New England Patriots was fun, he likely would have made the roster. He still has talent, and the Redskins could certainly use him on the field along with his veteran influence and leadership.

1) Hakeem Nicks

Nicks has battled injuries in recent seasons, but was great for the New York Giants early in his career, before undergoing surgery to fix a broken foot. He hasn't been the same dynamic receiver since, bouncing between the Giants, Colts and Titans. However, he still has the potential to be a starter and a wealth of experience at a young age (27 years old), something that can't be said for much of the current free agents.
