Who will have a breakout season for the Washington Redskins in 2018? There are a lot of Redskins rumors swirling around Washington with the big time moves the team has made this offseason. If the Redskins want to improve on their 7-9 season from 2017 and make the playoffs in 2018, they will need some of their key players to step up. Here are three players that could have a breakout season for the Redskins in 2018:

1) Derrius Guice, RB
He is a powerful runner with some wiggle to him, a perfect running back in most offenses in the league. Guice led the Tigers with 237 carries, 1,251 rushing yards, and 11 TDs last season and in 2016 he was an absolute monster rushing for 1,387 yards (7.6 ypc) and 15 touchdowns. A rookie running back has led the NFL in rushing the past two seasons - Ezekiel Elliott in 2016 and Kareem Hunt in 2017 - will Guice make it three years in a row?
2) Josh Doctson, WR
Doctson was selected in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, but hasn't lived up to the draft selection thus far. The third year is known as the "breakout" year for wide receivers so will this be the year Doctson emerges as one of the best young receivers in the league? Last season Doctson had 35 receptions for 502 yards and six touchdowns. He proved to be a reliable red-zone option and with a new quarterback like Alex Smith, he may be the target Smith relies on, in the red-zone.
3) Jonathan Allen, DT/DE
The Redskins selected defensive lineman Jonathan Allen in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Allen battled injuries in his rookie season playing in only five games. With the addition of DT Da'Ron Payne, this will only help Allen get to the quarterback more often and plug up the running lanes.
