UW’s Jake Browning named Pac-12 player of the week

Washington’s Jake Browning has been named the Pac-12’s offensive player of the week after leading the Huskies to a dramatic come-from-behind victory over Utah on Saturday night.

Browning, a junior from Folsom, Calif., was 26-for-35 for a season-high 354 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the 33-30 victory over Utah.

His two touchdown passes were 76th and 77th of his career, establishing a new school record.

Browning was 7-for-8 passing for 108 yards during UW’s final two drives in the last two minutes Saturday night, and the Huskies scored 10 points in the final 58 seconds, capped by Tristan Vizcaino’s 38-yard field goal as time expired.
