Redskins OTAs News: DeSean Jackson still out with hamstring injury

In today's Redskins news update, superstar wide receiver DeSean Jackson is still sitting out of the Washington Redskins' OTAs with a hamstring strain.

Per Mike Jones of the Washington Post, "Jackson, who injured his hamstring on a deep route in last Thursday’s practice, ran a couple of half-speed routes during positional drills, but wore only a sun visor with his jersey, and watched the remainder of practice."

Jackson was asked after practice about a possible timetable for his return.

“I don’t know," Jackson said. "Maybe next week. We’ll see how it feels. It’s going pretty good, so we’ll see how it feels next week.”

Head coach Jay Gruden isn't too worried at this point.

“DeSean has a minor tweak, i guess," said Gruden. "All hamstrings are different, but he’s rehabbing with [athletic trainer] Larry [Hess] and hopefully he’ll be ready to go next week for the final week of the OTAs.”
