What a battle for the Caps as their four game road trip came to an end. They ended up securing seven of eight possible points, which you’ll take all day. The Caps were already missing John Carlson and were getting Justin Sourdif back after a one game absence, then they lost Ryan Leonard to a pretty dirty hit in the first period. The Caps never gave up the lead the whole game as well. It was a great team game all around to grind that out.
Plus: The Caps were playing their third game in four days, were short handed, and lost their young stud that was on fire recently in the first period.
