In one important sense, the UTEP football team is in a bit different position heading into its finale against UAB than it has been at any previous point this season.
The Miners head to Birmingham for their last game with a feeling that they have found a running game behind freshman tailback Joshua Fields, that they've finally got a bit of an identity.
They are still sorting through issues at quarterback, as once-again starter Ryan Metz was ill and held out of practice Tuesday, his status will clarify later in the week, but whether Metz or Greenlee is under center Saturday, there will be more help around them.
