The UTEP frontcourt is shorthanded at the moment, preparing for its Thanksgiving tournament opener against Arkansas.

The Miners are without full participation from the two biggest pieces of the big-woman puzzle, Tamara Seda (concussion) and Zuzanna Puc (foot).

That leaves an awful lot on the plate of the player who, in every good sense of the word, plays with a fierce disregard for her own body, Jordan Alexander.

At 5-foot-11, the junior transfer is undersized for a power forward, but as is quickly becoming apparent, one of UTEP's two eligible newcomers is oversized in the heart and brains department.
