It wasn’t pretty at first, but the Utah Jazz undoubtedly closed out their season opener in style, dropping the Denver Nuggets in comeback fashion at Vivint Arena. They’ll hit the hardwood once again on Friday night to take on another squad of divisional foes — Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
However, this one is more than a Northwest Division showdown or Game No. 2 of 82. For Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio, it’s a return to the place where he spent the first six years of his NBA career. Look for Rubio to have a spring in his step as he takes it to the team that ultimately decided they were better off with Jeff Teague.
