After a standout 2017 U-20 World Cup earlier this year, U.S. youth forward Josh Sargent has announced he will sign with Bundesliga club Werder Bremen in 2018. The St. Louis Sensation became the youngest U.S. player to score at the U-20 World Cup in South Korea at just 17 years and 91 days old in a game against Ecuador where he also captained the youth side. Sargent didn’t stop with that first goal, however, and ended the tournament with four goals in five matches.

It was clear after the tournament that Sargent was due to make a leap to the next level.
