The prognosis did not seem like it had any chance of being good as cameras panned to the St. James’ Park tunnel showing DeAndre Yedlin using a trainer as a crutch to limp to the locker room on Saturday. However, Newcastle United announced on Tuesday that the knee injury sustained by the 25-year-old U.S. international “is not serious”.
No specific update was given by the club on what exactly the injury was or how longer he’ll be out of action, but they did say that he is likely to rejoin the team for training “shortly”.
