Victim of Friday morning shooting in New Haven dies, police say

The shooting happened shortly before 10:15 a.m. in the rear parking lot of a business at 88 York St., they said. Police received multiple 911 calls about the gunfire.

First responders, including police from Yale University, found a person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
