Class of 2021 guard Jordan Hawkins commits to UConn men’s basketball

Dan Hurley has picked up his second recruit of the 2021 class as four-star shooting guard Jordan Hawkins from DeMatha Catholic in Hayettsville, Maryland committed to join UConn Friday.

Hawkins is top-50 prospect who is rated at the 15th-best shooting guard in the class by Rivals. He will join Rahsool Diggins in the backcourt at UConn, who verbally committed to the school on July 26. With the Hawkins commitment, UConn’s class jumped to the 13th ranked class in the nation and the second best in the conference by 247sports.

The 6-foot-4 Hawkins is regarded as a lengthy and athletic scorer who has no problem shooting the deep ball.
