The #1 UCLA Softball team, a team that went 50-4 in the regular season, just got totally dissed by the NCAA Selection Committee. The Bruins were given the three seed overall behind number one seed Oregon and number two seed Florida.
The good news is that, by being in the top eight seeds, UCLA will not only host this weekend’s NCAA Regional, but also next weekend’s Super Regional as well.
The Bruins will face Sacramento State on Friday night at 8 pm PT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2. The other schools playing in the Los Angeles Regional are Cal State Fullerton, whom UCLA defeated 5-3 on May 1st, and the Sun Belt champions Texas State Bobcats.
