This afternoon, Colorado State University has announced that Washington quarterback KJ Carta-Samuels is transferring to the school.
This news comes as a surprise to UCLA fans as the UCLA Athletic Department had previously announced that Carta-Samuels would be transferring to Westwood.
New Bruin football coach Chip Kelly also spoke about the addition of Carta-Samuels during Spring Practice.
So, it makes today’s announcement by Colorado State a little bit bizarre as UCLA does not typically discuss recruits of any kind, including graduate transfers without first having signed paperwork committing a recruit to the school.
At this time, there is no confirmation from UCLA that Carta-Samuels will not be coming to Westwood and the athletic department has not yet responded to an email inquiring about the situation.
