Meanwhile, in the East Region, Villanova cruised past West Virginia, 90-78. In the only upset of the day, 3-seed Texas Tech defeated Purdue, 78-65.
Today, the first game features the two of the lowest seeds remaining when 11-seed Loyola-Chicago takes on 9-seed Kansas State while the second game has 3-seed Michigan playing the other remaining 9-seed, the Florida State Seminoles.
